We take the privacy of your family — and especially your children — seriously. GoKiddo does not sell personal data, does not serve advertising, and does not collect data from children without verifiable parental consent. This policy explains exactly what we collect, how we use it, and how you can control it.────────────────────────────────────────

2. SCOPE OF THIS POLICY

3. CHILDREN'S PRIVACY — COPPA COMPLIANCE
────────────────────────────────────────GoKiddo is designed for use by parents and guardians. It is a parent-operated app. Parents create and control all accounts. Children do not create their own accounts and do not have independent access to GoKiddo without a parent-established profile.GoKiddo complies with the Children's Online Privacy Protection Act (COPPA). Specifically:• All accounts are created and managed by a parent or guardian aged 18 or older.
• Parents provide verifiable consent by creating the child's profile within their own parent account.
• We do not collect personal information from children directly — all child data is entered by the parent on the child's behalf.
• We do not allow children to make their data publicly available.
• We do not condition a child's participation on the disclosure of more personal information than is reasonably necessary.
• Parents may review, update, or request deletion of their child's information at any time by contacting [email protected].────────────────────────────────────────
4. INFORMATION WE COLLECT
────────────────────────────────────────4a. Parent / Guardian Account InformationWhen a parent creates a GoKiddo account, we collect:• Full name
• Email address
• Password (stored in encrypted form — we do not store passwords in plain text)
• Profile photo (optional — the parent may choose to upload one or skip this step)We do not collect the parent's date of birth, phone number, or payment card information. All subscription payments are processed entirely through Apple App Store or Google Play Store billing systems. GoKiddo never sees or stores your payment details.4b. Child Profile InformationWhen a parent adds a child ("Kiddo") profile, we collect:• Child's first name or nickname (as entered by the parent)
• Child's date of birth — entered by the parent and used to assign the child to the appropriate badge and activity age group (Ages 5–8, 9–11, or 12–15). In the future, GoKiddo may also use this date to celebrate the child's birthday within the app with special rewards or recognition. Date of birth is never shared with third parties and is not used for advertising or any commercial purpose.
• Profile photo (optional — the parent may upload a photo, take a new photo, or choose a default stock image)We do not collect the child's last name, school name, location, or contact information.4c. Activity and Progress DataAs families use GoKiddo, we collect and store:• Activities assigned by the parent to each child
• Activity completion submissions made by the child
• Parent approval or rejection decisions
• Written reflections submitted by the child when completing activities (stored permanently — see Section 7 for deletion options)
• Parent comments on activity approvals or rejections
• GoBits balance and transaction history for each child
• Badges earned by each child
• Goals created by the parent and the child's progress toward each goal4d. Device and Technical InformationWhen you use GoKiddo, we may automatically collect certain technical information:• Device type and operating system version
• App version
• Push notification device tokens — only if and when push notifications are enabled in a future update4e. Biometric AuthenticationGoKiddo supports Face ID and fingerprint login on devices that offer these features. All biometric authentication is handled entirely by your device's operating system (iOS Secure Enclave for Face ID on Apple devices; Android BiometricPrompt on Android devices). GoKiddo does not access, collect, process, or store any facial or fingerprint data. We only receive a pass or fail signal from the operating system.4f. Information We Do NOT CollectGoKiddo does not collect:• Precise geolocation data
• Phone numbers
• Social Security numbers or government IDs
• Credit card or banking information
• Health or medical data
• Contacts from your device's address book

5. HOW WE USE YOUR INFORMATION
────────────────────────────────────────GoKiddo uses the information we collect only for the following purposes:Providing the app — Creating and managing parent and child profiles, tracking activities and progress, delivering GoBits rewards and badges.Age-appropriate content — The child's date of birth is used to assign them to the correct badge and activity age group (Ages 5–8, 9–11, or 12–15), and may be used in the future for in-app birthday celebrations. It is never shared with third parties.Account security — Authenticating users, protecting accounts, and enabling biometric login through the device OS.Subscription management — Verifying subscription status through Apple or Google to determine which features the account has access to.App improvement — Understanding how GoKiddo is used in order to fix bugs and improve the product. No personal data is sold or shared for this purpose.Customer support — Responding to questions and requests sent to [email protected].────────────────────────────────────────
6. HOW WE SHARE YOUR INFORMATION
────────────────────────────────────────GoKiddo does not sell your personal information. GoKiddo does not share your personal information with advertisers or marketing companies. We do not use your data for targeted advertising of any kind.We may share information only in the following limited circumstances:6a. Service ProvidersGoKiddo uses a small number of trusted third-party services to operate the app. These providers process data only on our behalf, under strict confidentiality agreements, and are not permitted to use your data for their own purposes.Amazon Web Services (AWS) — Cloud storage and hosting. Profile photos and app content stored securely on AWS S3.Firebase (Google) — Backend infrastructure. Account data and activity data.Apple App Store — iOS app distribution and subscription billing. Subscription status only.Google Play Store — Android app distribution and subscription billing. Subscription status only.6b. Legal RequirementsWe may disclose information if required to do so by law, court order, or government request, or if we believe in good faith that disclosure is necessary to protect the safety of any person or to address fraud or security issues.6c. Business TransfersIf GoKiddo is involved in a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets, we will notify affected users before personal information is transferred or becomes subject to a different privacy policy.────────────────────────────────────────
7. DATA RETENTION AND DELETION
────────────────────────────────────────7a. Active AccountsWe retain your account information and all associated data for as long as your GoKiddo account remains active. This includes parent account information, child profiles, activity history, GoBits balances, badges earned, goals, and written reflections.7b. Inactive AccountsIf your GoKiddo account has had no activity for 2 consecutive years, we will send a notice to your registered email address 30 days before scheduled deletion. If no response or login occurs within those 30 days, your account and all associated data will be permanently deleted from our servers.7c. Requesting DeletionYou may request deletion of your account and all associated data at any time by:• Emailing [email protected] with the subject line "Delete My Account"
• Including the email address associated with your GoKiddo accountGoKiddo also provides a Delete My Account option inside the app under Settings. Tapping this will display a confirmation prompt before permanently deleting your account and all associated data.We will process all verified deletion requests within 30 days. Once deleted, account data cannot be recovered.7d. What Happens to Child Data When DeletedWhen a parent account is deleted, all associated child profiles are deleted simultaneously. This includes all activity history, GoBits balances, badges, goals, and written reflections associated with those child profiles. We do not retain any child data after account deletion.────────────────────────────────────────
8. PARENTAL RIGHTS AND CONTROLS
────────────────────────────────────────As the parent or guardian who created the GoKiddo account, you have the following rights at any time:• Review all information stored about your child by logging into your account
• Update or correct your child's profile information within the app
• Delete your child's profile and all associated data by contacting [email protected]
• Withdraw consent for the collection of your child's data by requesting account deletion
• Request a copy of all data we hold about your family by emailing [email protected]To exercise any of these rights, contact us at [email protected]. We will respond to all verified requests within 30 days.────────────────────────────────────────
9. DATA SECURITY
────────────────────────────────────────GoKiddo takes reasonable measures to protect your family's information from unauthorized access, disclosure, alteration, or destruction. Our security practices include:• All data transmitted between the GoKiddo app and our servers is encrypted using industry-standard TLS (Transport Layer Security)
• Passwords are stored in encrypted form and are never stored or transmitted in plain text
• Profile photos and app content are stored on Amazon Web Services (AWS) S3 with access controls
• Data stored on GoKiddo's servers is encrypted at rest
• Biometric authentication (Face ID, fingerprint) is handled entirely by your device's operating system — GoKiddo does not receive or store biometric dataNo method of electronic transmission or storage is 100% secure. While we strive to protect your personal information, we cannot guarantee absolute security. 10. ADVERTISING
────────────────────────────────────────GoKiddo does not display advertisements. We do not use advertising networks. We do not share your data with advertisers. We do not use your data to serve you targeted ads on GoKiddo or on any other platform.GoKiddo is supported entirely through subscription revenue. Keeping GoKiddo ad-free — especially for families with children — is a core commitment of our product.────────────────────────────────────────
11. ANALYTICS
────────────────────────────────────────GoKiddo does not currently use third-party analytics tools. If we introduce analytics tools in the future, we will update this Privacy Policy before doing so and will notify users via the app or by email.────────────────────────────────────────
12. PUSH NOTIFICATIONS
────────────────────────────────────────GoKiddo does not currently send push notifications. This feature may be introduced in a future update to celebrate achievements such as goal completions and badge awards.If push notifications are added in the future, we will update this Privacy Policy and notify users before the feature is activated. You will always be able to control notification settings through your device without affecting your ability to use GoKiddo.────────────────────────────────────────
13. SUBSCRIPTIONS AND PAYMENTS
────────────────────────────────────────GoKiddo offers a free plan and a paid Family plan subscription. All subscription purchases and payments are processed entirely through Apple App Store (for iOS users) or Google Play Store (for Android users). GoKiddo does not collect, process, or store any payment card or banking information.For information about managing or canceling your subscription, please refer to your device's App Store or Google Play subscription settings. Refund requests are subject to Apple's or Google's respective refund policies.────────────────────────────────────────
14. GEOGRAPHIC SCOPE
────────────────────────────────────────GoKiddo is currently available in the United States. If you are accessing GoKiddo from outside the United States, please be aware that your information may be transferred to and processed in the United States, where our servers are located.If GoKiddo becomes available in additional countries, including countries subject to the European Union's General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR), we will update this Privacy Policy accordingly to ensure compliance with applicable local laws.────────────────────────────────────────
15. CHANGES TO THIS PRIVACY POLICY
────────────────────────────────────────We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we make material changes, we will:• Update the "Last Updated" date at the top of this policy
• Notify users via an in-app notification or by email to the address on file
• For changes that materially affect how we handle children's data, we will provide notice at least 30 days in advance and, where required by COPPA, obtain fresh verifiable parental consentContinued use of GoKiddo after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the updated Privacy Policy.
